THE MONTREAL MUSEUMS DAY 2018-
By Bernard Bujold-
Some 30 museums in Montreal received visitors for free on Sunday, May 27, 2018.
However, major museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts or Pointe-à-Callière did not include in the visit their temporary exhibition which meant that neither Picasso nor the Queens of Egypt were accessible to the public for free...
A disappointment that according to the guides is attributable to the lack of subsidies from governments...
Personally I loved the McCord Museum's "SHALOM MONTRÉAL" exhibit about Montreal's Jewish community.
I also made an interesting discovery by visiting the McGill University Museum (Redpath Museum). In fact, the founder of the University, James McGill, was physically like Donald Trump...
If I have a second disappointment, it is that of the "cat" at the exhibition on Egypt. Indeed, in the catalog, the black cat cover a full page while in reality, it is a tiny cat barely two inches. It is so tiny that I had to go back to see it because I did not notice it during my first visit!

ELECTIONS QUÉBEC 2018 AND THE ART OF POLITICS...
By Bernard Bujold-
The element 101 in politics is knowing how to surround yourself with winning players to create good news and scapegoats to ward off bad news...
Philippe Couillard managed to win a champion by bringing Alexandre Taillefer as campaign chairman. Indeed, while the media are focused on criticizing Taillefer, no one criticizes Couillard. The only surprise is how Taillefer did not understand Couillard's game plan?
In contrast, François Legault failed in what could have been a great championship if he convinced Lucien Bouchard to join his party as a transitional advisor in the event of an electoral victory. Lucien quickly understood the game of identification and he refused to become the door color of Legault, which would have been a master stroke...
Conclusion: I still expect a victory of Philippe Couillard October 1 if he continues to play his cards strategist, as it does so far!

ELECTIONS QUEBEC 2018 -
By Bernard Bujold-
It is good war for politics lovers to talk about the election result of October 1.
No! I will not be a candidate and I am not in favor of any particular political party, contrary to my beliefs at the American level...
On May 10, 2018, according to my political instinct, I expect a re-election of the current Prime Minister Philippe Couillard.
It is too early to come up with a figure as to the precise number of MPs to be elected for each party, but there is no reason to consider a defeat by the current government.
Indeed, an election in Quebec, as elsewhere in North America, is never a vote "FOR A CANDIDATE" but rather a "VOTE AGAINST". We do not choose, we reject!
The example of Valérie Plante in Montreal is the most recent while the majority of voters did not vote for Plante but against Denis Coderre. (Many regret their vote and look forward to 2021...)
For this reason of the reasoning in our electoral choice, I foresee that Philippe Couillard will be reelected.
