Four police officers fired between 3 and 10 bullets in a short shootout in downtown Montreal during which they killed an employee of Hospital St-Luc who was walking to his work and a madman armed with a knife who was cutting out bags of garbage ...
Montrealers are very concerned about such an event and they wonder why another method was not used to subdue the madman with a knife, for example a net, cayenne pepper or a taser.
