WORKERS IN MONTREAL

The McCord Museum's annual exhibition, 2019 edition, of old photographs on McGill College Street presents various workers who worked in Montreal in the early 1900s and 1930s. 
If there is one conclusion, it is that the Montreal economy was very successful during this period surrounding the First World War. Today, all these companies that used to employ hundreds of people no longer exist. The industrial era has given way to the technological era....
