THE ROLE OF DOCTOR HORACIO ARRUDA -

The character of Dr. Horacio Arruda is increasingly coming to a crossroads. One is a politician with an easy joke; the other is a serious scientist!
Quebecers have found the jokes of the friendly doctor comical, but after the show comes the serious and painful moment.
Personally, I would not have played the seduction card with humour because it diminishes the seriousness of the authoritarian and difficult decisions of the government he represents.
We will have to see what happens next, but we already know that the good doctor does not like to have his popularity challenged, as he demonstrated when he was angry with the federal government scientist who questioned his deconfinement plan.
One might conclude that the comedian (King's fool) has an important place in a popular festival, but in wartime, his presence is dangerous to say the least!
