The announcement of total lockdown in Quebec by Premier François Legault will take place this Wednesday evening, January 6, 2021 at 5 p.m. A general curfew would also be announced starting at 8 or 9 p.m. (under negotiation). All measures would begin Saturday, January 9. The announcements were to be made on Tuesday but due to the complexity, the press conference was postponed to Wednesday.
In addition, almost 50% of Canadians had Christmas parties despite the ban.
