LEONARD COHEN - THANKS FOR THE DANCE

LEONARD COHEN
By Bernard Bujold -
A new album THANKS FOR THE DANCE with the voice of Leonard Cohen will be available this Friday, November 22, 2019. A work of his son Adam Cohen.
I've always been a fan of Cohen and I'm not disappointed with the new album.
In fact, while listening to the album (excerpt) I even discovered a link between Leonard's voice and the one of the famous character Raymond Reddington. Their tone of voice is similar. This is probably why Reddington is known to be seductive with viewers just reciting short philosophical sentences. Both artists are voice artists...

THE MODERN SOCIETY IN 2019...

THE MODERN SOCIETY IN 2019...
By Bernard Bujold
The society is divided as never before and one could see it at the best in the media business. Depending on your opinion, you are watching one media and not the other. This is true for Donald Trump in United States as well in Canada with Don Cherry. The fake news naming game is true in the way that every media is taking side and tell the story for his viewers and supporters. One event is either good or bad depending on which media your are watching.
One could say that we are living in two separate worlds (planets)...

I LOVE MY COTTON SWEATER...

I LOVE MY COTTON SWEATER...
By Bernard Bujold -
We can say that in some respects, Catherine Dorion is reminiscent of Donald Trump! Indeed, the two characters know how to attract the public's attention and they are actors at heart. Both also love cotton sweater, although the ones of Donald are a little more expensive....
One could conclude that I too have something in common with the two stars: I like a warm and comfortable sweater!

NATHALIE PETROWSKI - STORIES OF NEWSPAPERS

NATHALIE PETROWSKI - STORIES OF NEWSPAPERS
By Bernard Bujold -
I have just finished reading the new book: PETROWSKI: LA CRITIQUE N'A JAMAIS TUÉ PERSONNE.
This book retraces the history of Nathalie Petrowski's career and, in the same way, the history of the three major newspapers where she was a journalist: LE JOURNAL DE MONTREAL , LE DEVOIR and LA PRESSE.
Personally, I have known a little about each of his three major dailies and if Petrowski's book confirms my perception, the book also told me the parts of the story I didn't know...
The look at La Presse is particularly interesting and sheds light on what has been observed from the outside as a reader over the past ten years. The transformation of the newspaper from St-Jacques Street was radical and Nathalie explains the reasons for the current moribund situation of the media, which was once a solid giant.
Finally, in addition to serving a historical look at Montreal journalism, the book also tells us many anecdotes and gossip about her journalist's experience. A book I liked very much.

CATHERINE DORION AND THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN 2019

POLITICS, CATHERINE DORION AND PHOTOGRAPHY...
By Bernard Bujold -
Quebec MP Catherine Dorion is one of the guests at TOUT LE MONDE EN PARLE on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
She is talking about photography...
The National Assembly is a wonderful place to take pictures and when I was a young journalist at the Tribune, I too loved to be photographed in front of the symbols of power but I made sure I was always sober in my costume... It was a matter of shyness!

THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS 2019

THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS 2019
The municipal workers of Old Montreal are in the full spirit of Christmas and already, as of Saturday, November 2, 2019, the Christmas tree is proudly in place and illuminating the central square. All that's missing are the elves, but they won't arrive until December 1st!
Merry Christmas...

DONALD TRUMP - THE IMPEACHMENT AND THE BATTLE OF 2020

THE IMPEACHMENT OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT -
By Bernard Bujold -
The vote on the impeachment inquiry in the US House of Congress (November 1, 2019) reveals a partisan investigation and the resolution of the conflict can only be decided in the coming months in the November 2020 election. Only the American people can decide whether or not they want to reject President Donald Trump and the only way to choose is through an election.

VISIT OF COMBAT SHIPS -2019

VISIT OF COMBAT SHIPS -2019 -
By Bernard Bujold -
The art of success in military combat is to be always ready for action! I was able to check the situation while I was invited with my faithful Ulysses to visit an anti-missile ship passing through Montreal. I can confidently say that Canadian soldiers are ready for combat. I will now have to compare with my friend Donald's soldiers....
To be continued!
