PIERRE MOREAU - Leadership of the Quebec Liberal Party...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Pierre Moreau (54) will be officially a candidate for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Quebec and he will announce it Monday at 11 am on October 1st in his riding of Châteauguay.
Moreau was Transport Minister in the government of Jean Charest. He is a lawyer and he was noted in 2000 when he represented the cities opposite to the municipal mergers. He was elected in 2003 and he says he is convinced that he can win the liberal race.
According to political observers, the favorite Liberal leader would be ex-Health Minister Philippe Couillard (55 years). The other candidate officially nominated is former Finance Minister Raymond Bachand (65 years old on October 22) while there are serious rumors that Line Beauchamp (49 years), former Minister of Education will be in the race. Beauchamp would obviously benefit from the support of her husband Pierre Bibeau, a highly respected veteran in the Quebec Liberal Party.
Currently, it is the former Justice Minister Jean-Marc Fournier who holds the interim leadership of the party and the Official opposition until the election by the delegates of a successor to Jean Charest in the early 2013. The urgency of a permanent Liberal leader is due to the possibility of a reversal of the current Government of Quebec at the National Assembly led by Pauline Marois minority with only 52 seats against 50 for the Liberals. A reversal would mean a general election...

DANIEL LESSARD - The novel LA REVENANTE

By Bernard Bujold (leStudio1.com) -
The former political reporter Daniel Lessard has launched Volume 2 of his novel under the title of LA REVENANTE. A book whose story unfolds in the Beauce region in the 1940s and where the female character featured decides to run for mayor of the village… The story is interesting and brings into focus the role of women in politics and especially the challenge she has faced to get there as a woman.

He gave several interviews including one with Pier Morgan on CNN. The President of Iran is an intellectual who is an engineer by training and has taught at the University. DENIS MONETTE - The Novel LES DÉLAISSÉES

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The new novel by Denis Monette, “LES DÉLAISSÉES”, is worthy of the great American novels and Europe. This book deserves to become a TV series or a movie! Great scenario and extraordinary texts.
In summary, this is a story mid-polar and mid-romance where the main character will seduce four randomly selected women in Montreal, Moncton, Halifax and Toronto to make them suffer mentally to avenge injustices suffered in his personal life. The characters are well researched as the cities where the action takes place. We must congratulate the author Denis Monette and we might add that this is one of his best novels. Monette says that his characters are pure fiction, but it is hard to believe his confession so the story is realistic.
If there is a conclusion to the story of the novel is that there are people in society who will sometimes show great wickedness, and they will choose their victims at random. We must also conclude that it is better not to be too naive to face life events and if a proposal seems to be an impossible dream and worthy of a novel, this is probably the case. In real life, the prince does not exist, love is blinding and nastiness made by people leading a double life does exist! Congratulations to Denis Monette!

OLD PORT OF MONTREAL AND THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Old Port of Montreal may change vocation and his administration could be decided from Toronto. Indeed, the Government of Stephen Harper plans to transform the status of the Old Port and make Crown land rather than an entity managed by a board of directors from Quebec. The rumor runs for some time but some media published the news that this change would change on the agenda of the new parliamentary session, which begins Monday, September 17. It seems that the expensive project of the Old Port Beach is the straw that has convinced Stephen Harper to act on this issue...

PLACE VILLE MARIE MONTREAL - 50 years

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Place Ville Marie in Montreal is celebrating in 2012 its 50 years of construction. The building was the forerunner of Montreal skyscrapers and paved the way for modern Montreal that we know now. Several ceremonies of celebration took place including the one of Thursday, September 13, where several dignitaries related to this building gathered together. A souvenir book was also published by Québec Amérique in French and in English: PLACE VILLE MARIE - The landmark building of Montreal.

BIN LADEN September 11 / 2001-2012 (11 years)

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
It is today, 11 years ago that occurred the tragedy of September 11 in New York. Since then, bin Laden was found and killed by American soldiers and one of the soldiers has just published the story of the night raid at the secret residence of the terrorist (NO EASY DAY). A captivating story that demonstrates that the key to success was the quick response and especially the change of plan in action by the US soldiers.
If there is a conclusion, is that the "plan A" risk generally not to work and you always have to have other plans of action. Weapons that block are often the cause of the failure of the first plan. In some cases, however, it is fortunate that the attacker has no plan B as in the case of the tragedy of the Metropolis in Montreal...

FUNERAL OF DENIS BLANCHETTE - A CEREMONY FOR OFFICIALS ...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
Ceremony in honor of Denis Blanchette was more like a ceremony in honor of the new government rather than the victim...
Among the 250 people admitted to the ceremony, about 150 were friends and family and the others, a hundred, were dignitaries from Pauline Marois and her husband, Jacques Duchesneau, PQ defeated candidates as Sophie Stanké, and popular stars like Julie Snyder and Stéphane Laporte... Others, thousands of people, were prevented from approaching the church outside by police. If it were my funeral, I would have been be a little sad because the real world could not come to greet me on my last rest ...

A TRUE STORY... (SOPHIE MARCEAU)

By Bernard Bujold (Letudio1.com) - The new film with Sophie Marceau (HAPPINESS NEVER COMES ALONE) is very nice to watch but it made me especially thinking about the true story of one of my friends...
I will not tell you who she is because it is a very well known person and her story is not public! Go see the movie. A beautiful love story, fiction but inspired by reality... For Quebecers, Robert Charlebois is part of the film's distribution, and acts as a producer of show!

THE RICH LEAVE FRANCE ...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
The richest man in France, Bernard Arnault (Louis Vuitton, etc.) threatens to become Belgian citizens to avoid tax increases that will install the new president François Hollande. Questioned on the subject, Arnault said, "I, like all the French, will fill my tax obligations."
This is indirectly connected to Quebec as the new Prime Minister Pauline Marois is also a little against the rich. Does Paul Desmarais will leave Quebec? To be continued...

WORLD PRESS PHOTO 2012 À MONTRÉAL -

By Bernard Bujold (leStudio1.com) -
The 55th edition of the World Press Photo exhibition is presented at the Bonsecours Market in Montreal until September 30. In all there are 161 photographs exhibited which were selected from 101,254 images submitted to the jury.
If there is one aspect to criticize about this exhibition is the negative side of the images that represent events of war or tragedy, and there is no real picture of the beauty of life in the world. This is probably influenced by the purpose of journalism that is to bring news about international tragedies and conflicts in the world.
The spokesman for the Montreal edition of World Press Photo is Dennis Trudeau, a well-known journalist. There is a section of the exhibition devoted to the student protests in Quebec...

BARACK OBAMA - 2012 Presidential Election

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com) -
"I am not just a candidate, I am the President of the United States ..." -Barack Obama.
It is in these terms confident that the outgoing president of the United States addressed the democrats for the election of November 6. This election will choose the 57th President of the United States. The speech of Barack Obama Thursday, September 6, 2012 was dynamic but less electrifying than Bill Clinton the day before to the same audience. According to the polls, Obama is ahead of his Republican rival Mitt Romney and he should win the election for the presidency. To be continued...
