A war is avoided...

A little more and we were entitled to a cowboy movie with two "Martyrs" attached to poles in a pine forest at Oka ... Its only lacked the cavalry trumpet!
Two owners and land developers have ventured into Oka with the intention to mark the trees they wanted to cut on a land that Indians claim. The Indians were there in large crowd with hoods and cries of war ... Fortunately, the Native American women avoided the killing of the two intruders in negotiating with the police who forced the land developers to leave.
Norfolk and its promoter Normand Ducharme bought the land in Oka, "after" that the Federal Government has decided to consider the claims of Natives People for the place.

Historical picture of our World leaders in 2010...

This picture will go down in history and it already circulated on the internet anywhere in the world on several sites like Facebook, Flickr or Twitter.
The picture represents the leaders of four major countries in the recent G20 economic summit in Toronto (26-27 June 2010). We see Stephen Harper (Canada) worried about his tie; Barack Obama (United States) who recalls his colleagues to order; Nicolas Sarkozy (France) and Silvio Berlusconi (Italy) trying to seduce the hostess ...
A photo worthy of a film of Charlie Chaplin! It lacks only the cane and hat ...

The next Prime Minister of Canada...

Today (August 2) is the birthday of Bob Rae. (Top photo)
It will be recalled that this former Prime Minister of Ontario had given way to Michael Ignatieff for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada and everything seems indicated that this choice was a mistake. According to polls, Ignatieff fails at endearing himself to Canadians and Stephen Harper seems to be firmly installed for at least another mandate. Many political observers are convinced that Bob Rae would be a better choice for reversing the Conservative government in Ottawa and some liberal activists are trying to convince him to take the place of Ignatieff that they would force him to resign before the next election. To be continued...
Happy Birthday Rae!
