THE NEWS MEDIA IN 2019

I read the book MERCHANTS OF TRUTH by a former New York Times editor, Jill Abramson. 
The book is in the news because many quotations in the book are plagiarism but the book itself is no where identified for being false. 
The book tell the story about the battle between the old media and the new internet media. Four medias are analyzed: BUZZ FEED, the Canadian creation VICE, THE NEW YORK TIMES and THE WASHINGTON POST. One could also see a similarity with the local media in Montreal like LA PRESSE+ and VOIR. 
The conclusion: For all the old media, the game changer was GOOGLE and FACEBOOK. The book MERCHANT OF TRUTH is really interesting to read for anyone who like to understand what going on in the media business and what will probably happen in the near future.
